One of my spiritual teachers, the active broad-minded monk Richard Rohr, talks about embodying a bright sadness. I've always likeable that full term. Having a child puts everything into perspective in a elbow room that is really contemplative and selfsame finite, that in truth makes you understand mortality and the brevity of our fourth dimension and all the time wasted. And yet there's this joy that blankets everything. So it's a benignant of glimmery gloominess.
